Zürich
The largest city in Switzerland, though you still can reach the major attractions of Zürich by foot and enjoy the setting at the end of the Lake of Zurich
with the river Limmat between the green hills of Uetliberg and Zürichberg. The old town has to offer nice old-style houses and cobbled streets. Just round the corner,
you will find modern corporate headquarters and stylish shops. On Paradeplatz you should enjoy a coffee and some sweets from Sprüngli and watch the rich people
visiting their investment advisor in one of the various banks.
Since the nineties, also young and innovative forces have created interesting places to visit, in the former industrial Kreis 5, the shabby Kreis 4 area or the upcoming Wiedikon area. Zürich has much to explore and most of it is reachable by public transport (tramway & bus system). Come and have a look at it ! |
