Galilee
The region of Galilee hosts the Lake of Gennesaret - 211 m below sea level - the city of Tiberias, Mount Tabor, Nazareth, Capernaum, Tabgha and the Mount of the Beatitude. There is a pleasant hiking trail called "Jesus Trail" connecting sites central to the lives of Jesus and his disciples. I stayed in a hotel in Tiberias close to the Lake of Gennesaret, with good weather you can see across to the Golan Heights and the snowy cap of the Mount Hermon. |
